| For centuries there has existed a tradition of human deformity being considered a source of entertainment. | |
| The role of 'performer' sometimes manifests as a theme in the MA work because my body provides me this archaic theatrical legacy. Self-portraits that elude the definition of my particular physiognomy, 'perform' in various guises. To negotiate the complex territory regarding self-perception and female disability, I refer to the role of archetype and symbolic in order to express both the particular and enigmatic. | |
